Become a Vendor
Dear prospective interpreter, translator or driver, thanks you for your interest in becoming part of our vendors. Florida Language Solutions welcomes reliable and committed individuals to our providers’ network.
Our transportation and onsite interpretation (in person) are freelance, and under contract of nature. This means that you are not an employee but a contractor, you will be paid under a 1099 form, not a W-2 form, and your check will have no deductions of any type. As a freelance interpreter / driver of Florida Language Solutions you will have the freedom of taking the assignments you wish, when you wish to take them, at the facility you wish to go to. You are also free to interpret for other companies, become a partner of any association or even get a regular job as you desire; you are your own boss. The relationship of Florida Language Solutions and its vendors is governed by contract. All regulations and guidelines are stated in the contract or agreement.
This is the protocol, assignment distribution and invoice system we use: First, the contract or agreement, and all necessary documentation are completed and signed. Your information will be entered in our providers’ network database. A Florida Language Solutions coordinator will contact you when assignments are available in your coverage area, and language. You can accept or deny the assignment as it is convenient to you. If you accept any assignment we expect you provide the service as stated in the contract. After completion, you will send a report/invoice to our office ASAP. Payments are mailed biweekly, after your first two weeks. Medical cases are the most common ones. Once you are assigned to a case, all the resulting appointments from that claimant/client will be assigned to you, unless we have received an inquiry concerning you, or you are not in compliance with our agreement. If you wish to know more, please contact us.
